Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $60,053)

The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE) Louisiana Statistical Analysis Center (LSAC) proposes a project that will focus on criminal justice data in Louisiana.  This core project addresses the need to help develop and improve criminal justice processes and make analytical tools available for law enforcement agencies, LSAC staff, courts, and other criminal justice decision-makers in Louisiana. The beneficial part of having a free state-owned RMS is that the state can add data elements to the state repository quickly and uniformly for Crime Stats to be used by Louisiana law enforcement agencies. This makes tracking additional details much easier. Funds are being requested to continue to provide annual cloud hosting services for the TrackCrime System from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024. As law enforcement agencies start using the TrackCrime RMS Lite, the hosting needs will increase, and all hosting costs will need to grow as new agencies come onboard. The project will provide cloud hosting for 80 additional law enforcement agency users.
