Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $1,253,852)
Under this award, the Washington State Patrol requests funds to: 1) Research of Open Arrest – funds would be used to hire contractors to perform research of missing dispositions for the years 2005-2010. The vendor will collect all available arrest information for a specific court case based on arrest information. The info with then be reviewed, divided into type of arrest and location, quality reviewed and them uploaded to the state repository with a matching file for records found. 2) Livescan Purchase – funds would be used to purchase livescan devices and equipment for five identified locations. The project will be sub-awarded to each location. The livescan devices and equipment will increase the number of records reported in a more efficient and timely manner compared to the ink and roll process (one livescan is for Clallam County Juvenile Services).
