FY 23 Colorado NCHIP Supplemental Funding

Under this award, the Colorado Department of Public Safety requests funds to support two full-time employees (FTE) to ensure adult and juvenile dispositions and arrest records are complete. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is requesting funding to process the adult and juvenile disposition update requests received from the FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check (NICS) program; as well as the misdemeanor disposition records received by arrestee’s who are requesting disposition update to the criminal history record information (CHRI) which are unable to be completed by current employees of the bureau due to the high demand of the Identification Unit’s current workload. A minimum of 150 records per month will be completed by two employees resulting in 300 records a month and 3,600 more files at the end of twelve months.
