National Crime Victimization Survey Knowledge Corner - Household and Person Nonresponse
The National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) Knowledge Corner provides quick tips and explanations for NCVS data users on a variety of topics. In this video, BJS Statistician Susannah Tapp, PhD, looks at person and household noninterviews in the NCVS. Household noninterviews occur when no one from a selected household participates in the NCVS. There are three types of household noninterviews – Type A, Type B, and Type C. Person or Type Z noninterviews occur when an interview is obtained from at least one eligible household member, but not obtained from all eligible persons in that household. She discusses Type A, B, C, and Z noninterviews in this video. For more information, please visit https://bjs.ojp.gov/programs/ncvs or email us at [email protected].
