Relevant Federal and State legislation is described, and judicial decisions in this area are noted. Issues addressed include confidentiality of intelligence data, standards for data disclosure, and legal issues bearing upon data release. This document is the most recent publication in the Criminal Justice Information Policy series, which analyzes areas of criminal justice information policy.
