Collections are organized in chapters by topic, and within each chapter by principal investigators' names. The chapters present collections on the following topics: attitude surveys; community studies; corrections; court case processing; courts; criminal justice system; crime and delinquency; official statistics; police; victimization; drugs, alcohol, and crime; and computer programs and instructional packages. Each study description includes a summary of the substantive content of the collection, a profile of the universe, a description of the sampling procedure, extent of the collection, the data format, and the file structure. Resource information encompasses the data available on CD-ROM; serial data on criminal justice; other criminal justice data; and indexes of principal investigators, title, and study numbers.
