This report presents supplementary tables for violent crimes reported in the 2018 Crime Victimization survey, which is a self-reported survey administered annually to a representative sample of U.S. residents ages 12 or older to obtain information on criminal victimizations experienced for the period of the survey.
One of the supplementary tables provides statistics on violent incidents (excluding simple assault) by total population, victim, and offender demographic characteristics (sex, race/ethnicity, and age). A second table presents statistics on the percent of violent incidents (excluding simple assault) by victims and offender race or ethnicity. The two other supplementary tables show the standard errors for the previous two supplemental tables.
