The State Justice Statistics (SJS) Program is designed to maintain and enhance each state's capacity to address criminal justice issues through collection and analysis of data. The SJS Program provides support to each state to coordinate and conduct statistical activities within the state, conduct research to estimate impacts of legislative and policy changes, and serve as a liaison in assisting BJS to gather data from respondent agencies within their states.
The Connecticut Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) is located at the Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division (CJPPD) within the Office of Policy and Management (OPM). The SAC will use funds to enhance the SAC website by building a platform with modern capabilities which includes data visualizations.
The SAC will enhance their website by building a platform with more modern capabilities (interactivity and mobile friendly) as well as including data visualizations. The websites data visualizations include two main enhancements: Tableau and ArcGIS. The project consists of implementing the two main enhancements as well as provide the relevant training to the SAC staff. The training is essential to the SAC staff in order for them to understand and manage the new software enhancements. (CA/NCF)
