Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2007, $56,036)
The State Justice Statistics (SJS) Program is designed to maintain and enhance each State's capacity to address criminal justice issues through the collection and analysis of data. The SJS Program provides support to each State to coordinate and conduct statistical activities within the State, conduct research to estimate impacts of legislative and policy changes, and serve as a liaison in assisting BJS to gather data from respondent agencies within their States.
The State of Wyoming's Statistical Analysis Center (WYSAC) is housed in the University of Wyoming.
Under this award, the WYSAC will used funds to enhance the existing WYSAC website to provide downloadable datasets and spreadsheets, graphical presentations of data, and online analytical capabilities to the Wyoming Criminal Justice System (WCJS).
The work on this project will include two closely related sub-projects: a system Model Sub-Project and a Web Application Sub-Project. Upon completion of both sub-projects, policymakers and the public will have access to key information about criminal justice in Wyoming.
