FY 2023 National Criminal History Improvement Program

The Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) is dedicated to improving records, reducing backlog of data entry, and providing complete dispositions. ACIC will use funds to hire four personnel to focus on entering and scanning backlog records, and making them available as part of NICS background checks.  The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) agrees to help ACIC in identifying Arrest Tracking Numbers (ATN) that are missing information and require updates. This will be a priority for grant personnel. In working on managing data, ACIC will update and redesign the Computer Criminal History (CCH) System. A Consultant/Contractor will work to modernize and enhance the current CCH to follow the FBI data storage standards. This will allow for fluid updates to the Interstate Identification Index sync, integrity of data, and a more user-friendly system for personnel.
